SHOWCASE

Our dancer Showcase is the perfect place for dancers and studios to perform pieces in front of an audience of peers, educators, artist crew, and guardians/observers. This is a great performance opportunity to share your authentic self along with other members of the dance community on stage with inviting energy in the room. Dancers will have the chance to receive personal feedback from our faculty panel, and teachers/choreographers will receive their own individual feedback during our showcase.

To share at our showcase, dancers or studio owners must apply online a minimum of 2 weeks before the event. Each application will receive extensive written creative feedback from one of our style-proficient, DEEA-certified, Luminous educators. Solos, duos/trios, small groups, and large groups are eligible to apply and perform.

Anyone participating in our full weekend event is eligible and encouraged to submit for our Showcase opportunity. The Luminous team will pick a select number of pieces to perform utilizing a creative and equitable rubric. All dance studios that register 6 or more dancers for the workshop are guaranteed to perform at least one of their submitted pieces. There is no fee to submit an application; however, those selected to perform at the Luminous Showcase will have an entry fee. If a piece is not chosen to perform at the Showcase, but you'd still like to receive personalized feedback on your submission video, email hello@movewithluminous.com.

*If you are interested in applying and need financial assistance, please email scholarships@movewithluminous.com

All genres and styles of dance are encouraged. Please review our submission qualifications and guidelines carefully when applying. Otherwise, your piece might not be seen for review.

To apply, please select the city you will be attending. To complete your application process and be considered, you must select your entry group and complete the online application. If you do not receive a confirmation email of receipt following your submission, please reach out to hello@movewithluminous.com. You will be notified which pieces have been invited to perform at the Showcase one week before your desired event.

We look forward to your application and can't wait to see you at the Luminous Showcase!

*Please note that by submitting a piece, you are not guaranteed a chance to perform at the in-person showcase.

All studios that register more than 6 students for the workshop are guaranteed to have at least 1 piece selected to perform in the Showcase.
